Mrs. Edna “Granny” Swanson,
age 82 of Summerville, GA, passed away Wednesday morning, May 20, 2015 in a
Rome Nursing Home. Mrs. Swanson was born on April 19, 1933, a daughter of the
late Andrew Andy and Etta Mae Westbrooks Campbell. Mrs. Swanson was a member of
Mt. View Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, the late Rev.
C. L. Swanson on Aug. 19, 1997; a son the late Clarence Eugene Swanson; Sister-
Annie Ruth Davis; Brothers- Clifford Campbell, Gerald Campbell and Ray
Campbell. Mrs. Swanson was retired from The Defenders of Mount Vernon Mills.
Surviving
are daughter: Lisa Gilliland (Joe) of Rome; Grandchildren: Amber Peace and Emily
Peace; Great Grandchildren: Cameron Dowdy and Aubrey Dowdy. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at
1:30 P. M. from graveside in Greenhills Memory Gardens with Rev. Ricky Biddle
officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 A. M. until 1:00 P. M. at
Earle Rainwater Funeral Home.
