MR. ROY ROME HOWELL, age 78, of Summerville, Georgia passed
away Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in a Fort Oglethorpe hospital. A native of Decatur, Alabama, He was born on
October 9, 1939, to the late Hershel B. (Harvey) Howell and Erma Mae Turley
Howell. Mr. Howell was a retired Tree Surgeon. He was preceded in death by his
wife, the late Louise Craig Howell on May 8, 2000; sons, Michael Howell and
Lavon Howell, and a sister, Evelyn Fowler.
Surviving are
Sons, David Lyons and Terry Lyons; Sister Barbara Tingle; several nieces and nephews
also survive.
Funeral
services will be held Saturday January 13, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. from the J.D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle
Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Wynn officiating; Interment in the
Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be David Lyons, Terry Lyons,
Rusty Smith, D.J. Lyons, David Fowler, and Stephen Fowler. The family will receive friends on Friday
January 12, 2018 from 6 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
