MRS. PAULINE AQUILA LEE WOOD passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Oak View Nursing and Rehab Center in Summerville, Georgia at the age of 86. Pauline was born in the Berryton Community on April 17, 1935, to the late Russell and Flossie Lorene Murphy Lee. A lifelong member of the Berryton Church of God, She served many years as a Sunday School Teacher. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She was always a homemaker and her job was to take care of her five sons, instilling in them her love for the Lord. She loved and cherished all of her Family. In addition to Parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, William Clayton Wood; two sons, Rickey Moore and Lamar Moore; two Brothers and two Sisters.
Surviving are three sons, Marty Wood, Billy (Tracy) Wood, and David (Alisa) Wood; seven Grandchildren, eleven Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3rd, from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Revs. Mike Lee, Jason Lee, and Gary Howell officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Will Wood, Jordan Adams, Joey Mulkey, Greg Koonce, Billy Morris, and Billy Willingham. Honorary Pallbearers are Her loving Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and her loving church family at the Berryton Church of God. The Family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the Staff of Oak View Health and Rehab Center for treating Pauline like family. Visitation will be Thursday, from 12 :00 noon til 2:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home
