MRS. LUDAIN PRUITT GILREATH, age 83 of Teloga Community passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023, in a Chattanooga Hospital. Mrs. Gilreath was born, September 24, 1939, in Fort Payne, Alabama to the late General Filmore Pruitt and Gladys Cavin Pruitt. She was a member of New Hope North Baptist Church and was retired from Roper Corporation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Deforrest Gilreath, brothers, General Leon Pruitt, Hubert “Sam” Pruitt, and sister, Eloise Pruitt Magnusson.
Surviving are, daughters, Becky (Donnie) Gerrin and Sherri (Richard) Selby; sons, Calvin (Rachel) Gilreath and Jerry Gilreath; granddaughters, Lisa Gilreath, Lacey Gilreath, Michelle Pollard Causey, Emily (Michael) Kobito, and Grace Gilreath; grandson, Justin Pollard (Dana); great grandchildren, Ansley Causey, Caden Causey, Brooklyn Causey, and Mack Pollard; great great grandchild, Maisley Causey; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26th, at 1:00 p.m. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Avans officiating. Interment in the Family Plot of Macedonia Cemetery, Teloga Community. Pallbearers are Richard Selby, Michael Kobito, Caden Causey, Justin Pollard, Dale Selby, and Kevin Godfrey. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. The Family respectfully request no food.
