MRS. BETTY LOU (HONEY) RAMEY, age 85, of Silver Hill Road, Summerville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday morning, January 17, 2024, in a Rome hospital, following a brief illness. She was born in Summerville, Georgia on May 6, 1938 to the late Arthur Buster and Mary Etta Eleam Teems. Mrs. Ramey attended the Silver Hill Baptist Church, enjoyed time with Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, and was very fond of any outdoor activity. In addition to Parents, She was preceded in death by husband the late William G. Ramey, grandson-Robert “Robby” William Ramey, Jr., daughter & spouse, Shirley & Glenn Watwood, son-in-law, Jerry Argo; sisters, Mildred Nichols, Margaret Corbin, Carolyn Culberson, Jewell Hall, Frances Brooks; and brothers, Junior Teems and Leon Teems.
Surviving are daughters, Betty Carol Argo and Donna Kay (Steve) Teems; son-Robert (Robby) Ramey, (Yolanda); sisters, Peggy (Wallace) Money, and Susie (James) Dawson; brothers, Ray (Martha) Teems, Ralph (Brenda) Teems, Ricky (Sherry) Teems, Richard Teems, and Jerry Teems; grandchildren, Kristen, Donnie, Willie, and Ashley; several Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 21st, at 2:30 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Teems officiating, interment in Silver Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Steve Teems, Ricky Teems, Chad Teems, Gary Teems, Jerry Teems, Richard Teems, Tim Teems, Donnie Argo. The Family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 2:30 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
