MRS. SYBIL MERSHON, age 82, of Orchard Hill Road-Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday (July 18, 2013) morning in the local nursing home. A native Chattooga Countian, She was born to the late John Henry and Allie Jo Robinson Dooley on October 29, 1930. Mrs. Mershon was a homemaker, member of Highland Avenue Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by two sons the late Paulie Mershon and the late Roger Mershon. Surviving are one sister-Jessie Penland of Trion; several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 19th, at 5:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Brown officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Friday from 3:30 P.M. until the hour of service. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
