Mrs. Shirley Dean McGuire
MRS. SHIRLEY DEAN McGUIRE, age 76, of Trion, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, in a LaFayette Nursing Home. A native Chattooga countian, she was born on July 24, 1937 to the late Jessie Roy, Sr. and Annie Mae Dean McGraw. She attended Living Waters Ministries, was retired from Mount Vernon Mills after 34 years of service and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was preceded in death by sons- Marty McGuire, Melvin McGuire and Johnny McGuire; sisters- Gail Sispy, Aline Cordle and Martha Johnson; brothers- Archie McGraw, Buddy McGraw and Jessie Roy McGraw, Jr.
Surviving are daughters-Dale McGraw and Vickie Holbrook of Trion; sons- Darty McGuire and Darrell McGuire of Trion; step-son- Larry McGuire of Summerville; a Sister Mary Keller of Inman, S.C.; 12 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21st, at 3:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim Chasteen and Rev. Danny Decker officiating, interment in Summerville Cemetery. Active Pallbearers Darrell McGuire, Jr., Christopher McGuire, Carl Gentry, Jeremiah Asher, John Asher, and Jim Odum. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Friday from 1 P.M. until the hour of service.
