Mrs. Lynn Van Pelt Hawkins
MRS. LYNN VANPELT HAWKINS, age 61, of Rossville Blvd.-Trion, Georgia passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, in a Chattanooga Hospital. A native Chattooga countian, She was born on April 15, 1952 to the late Marcus Ray Vanpelt and Catherine Reed Vanpelt, who survives. She attended the Dry Valley Baptist Church, was a CNA in health care, and was preceded in death by her husband, the late James Daniel (Jim) Hawkins, Jr. and a son, the late Christopher Brian “Chris” Hawkins.
Surviving are daughter-Terri Marlow of Trion; mother-Catherine Reed Vanpelt of Summerville; granddaughters-Emily Katlin Marlow, Leigh Anna Marlow, and Maggie Marlow; a Sister and Nephew also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 20th, at 1:00 P.M. from the Dry Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating, interment in West Hill Cemetery. Active Pallbearers-Gene Martin, Brannon Martin, Landon Jones, Jason Hughes, Steve Waddell, and Jay Henry. The Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
